Day 287 - The insanity of cat punching and why we all are to blame

index A guy created a Facebook page dedicated to punching cats. What followed was people posting videos and photos of abusing poor animals and the internet going crazy demanding the page be removed. After a petition of about 20 000 people Facebook removed the page and few days afterwards another one emerged.

There are so many points happening here. First thing we need to ask is what kind of person would create a page about abusing animals and then also what kind of person would find this page a great place to post videos and photos of abusing animals for the whole world to see? It’s easy to sit there and judge such a person, but such disregard for life is something that you grow up with. Some peoples parents teach their kids this – or some parents simply do not teach their children about how to care for animals. So who is to blame? The guy? The guys parents? The guys parents parents? Society? Humanity?

We are all actually responsible for this; because it’s a symptom of a broken society we all live and participate in. Animals have always been regarded as less. Even god told mankind to have dominion over them. The amount of care we give animals and the planet and far far far less than we do for humans and that is a problem. We are all equals and we need to treat the animals with the respect hey deserve.

Why does it take 20 000 people to remove a page like this? Or more why do we only care about removing a page about animal abuse and not stopping animals abuse at its source? Why are we not outraged about all the atrocities currently existing in the world? Where is that anger when it comes to things like the fur industry? Where is that outrage when it comes to things like war or poverty?

Its only when its right in our face when we will start doing something. if somebody opens a fur factory in your backyard you will be outraged and stop it. Or if a war breaks out in your lounge you will probably want to really stop it. But when its far away where it doesn’t affect us we simply do not care.

Imagine – all abuse happening right now. Right now somebody is being robbed and killed or raped. Right now somebody is in great pain and suffering dying from hunger. Right now an animal is being skinned. There are some really bad shit happening right now and the problem is human nature. That needs to change. The world needs to change. WE need to change. I need to change. Time to change this world for the better – it starts with you and me.

People should not have animals if they cannot take care of them

I always had a pet dog. I grew up with always having a dog. I loved my pets treated them with respect and took care of them. We lived near the ocean and just before the beach there was a big pond area and I used to play there allot (Back then it was still safe to play in a pond ). We used to look for tadpoles and frogs, because they were fascinating – we went into the pond every day and watched the growth process of the tadpoles. We would see how the legs started to form and eventually they turned to frogs and it was really cool.

I remember some kids that would take the poor tadpoles and squash them. This was utterly disturbing to me and my friends. Unfortunately there are some kids that have a complete disregard for nature. How and why is that kid so different than I was?

I was taught to take care of animals and to treat them right. The other kid was not. It is the responsibility of the parents to teach children how to take care of animals, but often the parents do not even no how and so nature suffers.

Then you have people who have pets, but do not take care of them. They do not give the animal the proper care it needs. This can simply be a disregard for life and deliberate abuse or they do not know how – the point remains that nobody should have access to any animal unless they can effectively take care of it or have the necessary respect for them.

Unfortunately animals are regarded as not really important. Humans believe they superior and animals are just animals. Which is not true. This belief is what is causing major destruction in nature and the extinction and abuse of animals. That kid who squished tadpoles for fun will grow up never considering nature.

This should be one of the fundamental education of a child – how to care and treat animals. Animals are a part of our lives - We share this planet with them. When it is proven that a person can take care of the particular pet it wants only then should they be able to have a pet. This is how it should be and will stop animal abuse.

You do not really know them…

Animals. We have plenty here on the farm. Before moving here to the farm I have never been around such a variety of animals: chickens, ducks, geese, horses, cats, dogs, parrots etc. It has been interesting thus far to be around them.

shot_1322837227124I always had the idea that once you see one horse you have seen them all - NOT true. We have 9 horses here and none of them are the same. They all have a uniqueness about them and once you are around them and observe them more closely for a while, you can clearly see this for yourself. Humans have become so disconnected from nature and the animals.

The same can be said for the cats and the dogs. We have many dogs and cats and all of them are different and none are the same. The parrots as well and even the chickens and ducks. I have never been around so many animals and just assumed that they are "just animals", it was only when I was here on the farm living with animals that I had the opportunity to realize just how incorrect I was with my beliefs and ideas about animals. Unless you have actually worked with animals, you really do not know anything about them.

Another thing I did not know about horses. I take care of Grootman (picture ) and what i have found is that he is a reflection of me - what I see in him is me. Horses do that - they reflect who you are and within this there is much you can learn about yourself. Grootman has taught me a lot about myself. Horses also like testing your directive principle and are extremely sneaky and manipulative to do this( yes, horses manipulate and are very sneaky). What I mean with Directive principle is that the horse wants to know if he can trust you - trust that you are able to lead effectively. If they find you cannot lead/are the directive principle then they themselves take the role by pushing you, nudging you, ignoring you and in some extreme cases kick and bite you to leave them alone.

The farm was also the first time I had the opportunity to raise a dog by myself. With Peoper( in peopsmall picture) it has been interesting. When I first got her she was sleeping on my lap in the car and I experienced myself getting nauseous. I really had to concentrate on my breathing so that I do not puke all over the car. As I was sitting there looking at her on my lap all cute I asked myself “why Am I nauseous?” Nausea is related to fear and what i have found is a fear of raising her. I feared all the bad things that could happen to her - that I will form a connection and feared that she might die and I would have to go through that again. I was basically fearing what happened to Timeless(my precious dog who had hip-dysplasia). Also that I would not be good enough to raise her and all kinds of shit. I stopped the fears and moved on. She is almost two years old now and has a very full, joyous expression. In the end I can now clearly see that my fears were not real and simply useless self judgements. Another fun fact is that we both share the same birthday.

So humans have a warped idea about animals and are blinded from seeing who they really are. We do not see who animals are, we do not make the effort to get to know them. They are alive and each have their own self-expression and they express it to the fullest. There are so many of them on our planet , but instead of living with them, getting to know them we destroy and kill in the name of profit and greed and that has to stop. Day 145 - Sensitivity to Sensibility

I am a sensitive person. Being a sensitive personality and character is what i have accepted myself to be. I am sensitive to pain - small things like scratches and especially pimple squeezing is quite painful for me. You can say i have low pain threshold. Interestingly when it comes to big pains like going fast downhill on a skateboard and loosing balance falling off and rolling and skidding on a tar road getting some serious road rash - I can handle.fragile

I’ have also been sensitive to emotions and  feeling my whole life - I easily got affected. Also with conflict situations, because i was so sensitive towards it I would avoid it because I could not handle it.

This is a accepted behavior that I have made part of my life, but if I am allowing myself to be easily affected my situations and directed by it then I am not the directive principle in my life. I must be able to stand in every and all situations and not be affected or afflicted or directed by it. I must be the directive principle and not be sensitive, but be sensible. Sensitivity to sensibility.

I am not talking about being a ''macho man'' or masculinity. I am talking  Facing any and all points that come my way. Not giving into fear, but facing it head on no matter what. Real Strength is standing no matter what. And that is a difficult concept, because we get easily side tracked. It requires going against your own beliefs and perceptions and idea of yourself. It is so much easier to belief that I lack the power to do this - that I am not strong enough. But i am the one who created that idea of myself in the first place.

Sensitivity to sensibility

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to be a sensitive person

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to create within myself and participate in the sensitive character.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to so easily be affected by situations and not be able to handle myself well

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to avoid conflict situations, because I  believe myself to be too sensitive to handle it

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to create the idea and belief that I am a sensitive person and thus be directed by emotions and feelings and situations and thus not able to stand strong

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that I lack the power and strength to stand in any and all situations not realizing that i am the one who created this belief despite everything that i have overcome thus far that proves i have the strength

I commit myself to stop being sensitive, instead I go from sensitivity to sensibility

I commit myself to stop the belief that I lack the strength and power to stand no matter what. instead i realize that I had the power all along and the proof is in all the times i did stand and overcame situations I thought never possible.

I commit myself to realize that although there are new challenges that come my way that may seem like it is bigger and tougher and too much  for me to handle - they are not. I stand and breathe through trusting that I am able and have the strength to move past it - this can only make me stronger.

I commit myself to stop being so ''thin skinned'', but instead give myself the skin of a rhino to be able to handle any situation.

i commit myself to when i am in a situation and react to it in a sensitive way. I stop and breath and be sensible - be aware of what I am doing and not allow myself to be directed by feelings emotions or situations, but instead i direct it

Day 139 - Machine Gun Preacher

If you haven'’t watched this movie then do so.
I watched this the other day and was simply amazed at this guy. Its about a man who lived his life doing bad things. He started going to church and chose to change his ways. He also has a wife and a child in the movie. Its based on a true story of this guy named Sam Childers.  27-07-2009child
He got a job owning a constructing business and one if his jobs was in Sudan  Africa.
I don't want to reveal too much of the movie - my words wont be able to describe what that guy did. He dedicated his life - really dedicated it - to take care for children in Sudan from the war. The rebels - what they do is attack villages rape and kill every woman and kill every man. The children they force to join them and train them to become soldiers. Sometimes they force the child to kill his own mother.
What Sam Childers did was did everything he could to save the children - to build them a save haven regardless of the danger to his own life. He really cared for them - like really care. i was amazed how somebody could care so much for children he does not know. He saw children in need and did something about it- no matter what it cost him.
Now why he is called Machine Gun Preacher you'll have to watch the movie. Watch it anyway to get some prospective.
It is  horror seeing what those people are going through - those children and it is happening everyday. And we live our lives with nit a care in the world. if a group of people came to your country - South Africa, America or whatever - and went into suburbs killing everyone before forcing the children to shoot their own mothers and taking the children to make child soldiers  - what do you think will happen? Will we do nothing and let it go on? No, Action will be taken immediately - we rich countries are civilized and order must be kept.
images When it happens to our neighbor countries we do basically nothing - we simply cant even give 2 shits. All they do is say the following: ''We condemn the actions of the rebels''.  Which actually means  '' we are forced to say something about it - but refuse to do something about it - we do care though '''.
Things like this make me want the world to end - it would be so much easier. Like when you have an animal and its hurt and suffering and nothing to do to save it you have to put it out of its misery - we should put down the human race - We are nothing but ticks and fleas on a living organism called earth - and in my opinion A earth Doctor should give the earth Frontline - to rid us from this earth. We are really evil beings.
Some say you cannot sum up the humans race based on the actions of a few bad people. YES you can. Look at the world - the way we humans live is disgusting. If you really look you will see that every human is evil unless you do everything in your power to find solutions to make this world free from suffering. Instead we say its impossible. Evil we are indeed.
Its not impossible, just different. Help create a system where no suffering exists - where money will no longer limit those who really care. Where everything will be done to make sure there is no suffering. People need homes, build them. People need food, feed them. People need electricity, give them. People need sustainable renewable energy, research is and implement it. There are no limitations. Vote and participate at www.equalmoney.org. Show you care.

Journey to life day 6 – Teeth Rotting Fear

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to fear all my teeth will rot
I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to fear that if I get more holes I will have to go to the dentist

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to fear the dentist because of my past experiences with pain from getting fillings.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to fear getting my teeth filled because it would cost allot of money

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to be controlled by this fear and believe that is real

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to be effected an moved by this fear and that I allowed myself to be influenced by this fear

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to every time when I look at my teeth experience fear.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to anticipate when my teeth will get holes

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that there is something wrong with me because of my bad teeth

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to fear not having any teeth.
I commit myself to stop the fear of my teeth rotting

I commit myself to the fear of going the dentist and pain – I see that it is based on my past experiences

I commit myself to see that the fear is not real

I commit myself to be the directive principle and not allow fear to direct me

Faith like Avocados

Since I was child I liked growing things and watching them grow. I worked in the garden with my mother. The first tree I remember growing was an Avocado.

The simplicity in this is what fascinated me, because by placing the Avocado pit with three tooth picks and halfway in water it will start to develop roots. I liked following the progress, as the pit splits and a root comes out and then the top side comes out with the first set of leaves.

I had two of them growing and when they were finally big enough we planted them out in the garden. Shortly after that we went on holiday, but my father could not come with so we asked him to water them. Can’t remember how long we were away or were we went, but when we came back both trees were dead. I was quite upset and found out that my father forgot to water them.

Now what happened to me there was that I made a connection to the avocado tree as being fragile, and since then there was anxiety within me when working with plants and trees. I became overly protective, because I didn’t want them to die.

As well as a connection to my father that I can’t trust him with a task like this. These were unconscious thoughts and happened in that one moment and I lived by that even now as I’m writing this. I never saw this before.
I didn’t try and grow another avocado tree after that, but it was still my favorite
.
I did try once again after about 10 years and had ended up having a 2m high avocado tree, but had to move so I never saw it grow bigger. I did go back a to check up on it, but the new owners had it cut down. Lol. I was a bit angry at that.

Before we came to the farm I had another go at three Avocado pits. One died of shock soon after planting. Another died of carelessness and being accidentally cut by a grass cutter.
And one Still remains and is growing steadily standing about 1.2m high.

Here on the farm we have lots and lots of fruit trees. We wanted to grow lots of avocado, but fascinating enough, they all died save for one.
If I look at my experience with fruit trees I had that anxiety every time I worked with them – overly careful when pruning, always afraid of giving to much water and not enough water - because I saw them as fragile and didn’t want them to die. If someone else did something to the tree without me knowing about it I would get very angry at that person. I saw the trees as my trees and as long as I know what’s going on I have control.

For 16 years that single event dictated how I will interact with trees. And it was an idea, a perception, a believe according to my current understanding when I was young.

This is so for many points in our lives. We live according to how we programmed ourselves when we grew up. And it is not supportive.
With the Desteni I Process I see these points. Look at events on my life and how it has affected my daily living and then reprogram myself to stop it dictating my life and directing me.

Then I become the director in my life by writing my own script.
