Christians Have failed Jesus for 2013 years!!!

LoveThyNeighborAsThyself And so we are at the end of the year 2013 – a year after the world ended. We are at the end of another Christmas and the year 2014 is upon us. For me Christmas time is very inconvenient – Town gets so busy with people doing bargain shopping that it is almost impossible to do basic food shopping. It also is a frustrating time of the year, because hypocrisy is all over the place.

Christmas time is a time for giving – but it is actually just people buying useless crap for each other that apparently shows how much they care for each other. Companies love holiday season. Families come together reminding each other how important family is and that family stick together and help each other. What most do not realize is that the only reason they can celebrate Christmas is because they have money. Money makes Christmas possible. Money is needed to buy and drive the car for a family get-together. Money is needed to buy the Christmas meal. Money, money, money.

Most do not have money – what about them? Why should they be left outside in the cold and with no food? Why after 2013 years of celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ have we not been able to end poverty? Christmas is celebrating the birth of a man that stood for helping others – to love other as yourself – to give as you would like to receive – Yet we have live 2013 years of hypocrisy, because we as humanity can’t even feed all of humanity.

Every Christmas should actually be a day of shame – how can we celebrate when so many suffer each day? Why is there nothing being done? Why do we settle for the temporary solutions that only help some of those that suffer and not opt for permanent solutions that help all?

A Guaranteed Living Income will be a solution. It will end poverty when fully implemented. That would be the greatest gift we can give each other. Money is what is needed to be able to live in this world. With a Guaranteed Living Income survival ends and living begins. Maybe at the 2014th celebration of the Birth of Jesus Christ we can have a Christmas without shame and hypocrisy – because the will be a Guaranteed Living Income.

"Free Range" chicken not actually free range.

You go to the shop and see written on the chicken packet “free range”. The image you have is chickens on a big piece of land roaming free all day. So it makes you feel good when you buy free range chicken, because at least the chicken had a good life. Unfortunately this is not true.

1_chickens_wide-408x264 See, “Free range chicken” has no set definition therefor companies selling the chicken can put a “free range” sticker on their products. For example in the picture to your right those chickens are actually defined as “free range”. They are all squashed tightly into a massive coop where they often peck at each other, because they are too stressed. They are not designed to be so many chickens in such a small confined space so many die. But rest assured – it is “free range” chicken.

This makes it very difficult for people, because you do not actually know if what you buy is really free range or not. We have come to believe what is written on labels is the truth – as if companies are not allowed to lie on their products. And in a way they do not, because “free range” is not clearly defined. There so many loop hole allowed in the system and it is set up like that deliberately in the name of PROFIT. I would like to know why?

chickens resize Why not define “free range’’ clearly? Free range should be animals that are outside in sunshine and fields with sufficient space for them to actually roam about. The space required should be based on the animals need. In fact when I see free range chicken on a product those chickens should have lived at a place like in the picture to your left. This is what should have been done in the beginning, but it is not.

So next time you buy “free range” chicken – it is most likely not, unless there is a way for you to track down the farm where the chickens are bred and see for yourself.

True Mercy for the Rhinos? A Way permanently End their suffering?

Rhino stat 2012_cropped We live next to a nature reserve and yesterday I saw 3 rhinos grazing next to the fence of the reserve. I wondered how long they will live and when they will be poached like so many others in South Africa. Why with so many charities already existing to "save the rhino" are rhino poaching's rising?

Rhino poaching is a horrific thing. They shoot the poor animal and then hack of its horn – sometimes the animal is still alive while its horn is being hacked off. All this is done for money, because the worth of that horn is more than gold. For poachers a rhino is basically an animal with golden horns. The horns are sold to those who believe the horn have great medicinal properties.

Let us talk figures. From the year 2000 till 2007 the number of rhino’s poached was under 30 a year. In 2008 the number skyrocketed to 83 which was almost 8 times more than 2007 where only 13 were murdered. Then in 2009 a 122 were killed. In 2010 there were 333 killed. Two years later in 2012 the number doubled to 668 rhinos killed. That is frightening.

Charities

So what is the solution? Is there one? Currently there are a lot of charities raking in money to “save the rhino”, but the figures shows clearly that whatever these charities are doing it is not actually saving the rhino. In fact – many people and companies are actually profiting from this where you donate money and a small portion actually goes towards “saving the rhino”, but most towards companies and people. In the end what the figures show is that the number will continuously increase until all the rhinos are eventually wiped out.

What will we write about the history of the rhino when it’s finally extinct? The rhino was horrifically poached to extinction and suffered greatly based on a belief that it cures cancer and other illnesses. Well done humans.

Dehoring

One method to try and “save the Rhino” is to dehorn them. This requires sedating them and carefully cutting of the horn to make it worthless to poachers. This sounds like a good idea, but unfortunately did not work. You cannot completely remove the horn so when you cut it off there is still a small stump left. That small stump is still very valuably and poachers still killed the dehorned rhinos. Some poachers killed the Dehorned Rhinos simply to make it easier for them to find Horned Rhinos.

Also, the horn grows back. You have to dehorn the poor animal every year to keep it at minimal length. The costs involved to dehorn one rhinos is estimated to be around US$1,000. To dehorn all the rhinos in the Kruger national park only once will cost US$5.8-8.8 million. And not all the Rhinos survive the dehorning process –there are sometimes veterinary complications while the animal is under anesthetic that may result in death. The more frequently the rhinos are immobilized, the greater the risk.

Poisoning the Horn

Another method is injecting poison into the horn so that when people digest the horn it will make them sick, but this requires the rhino to be sedated and not all survive this process.

A Solution?

It would seem that we humans are at a loss. We do not have any way to “save the rhino”. Every year the number increases no matter what is being done to prevent it. No matter what we do the rhinos suffer. Will we give Mercy to the Rhinos? Is there a way to end their suffering permanently? The only mercy we can give them is to kill them all. Shoot them to save them. Kill them before the poachers get to them – because when the poachers get to them they will be hacked to death and left bleeding. Most will protest a solution like this, because it is not humane or morally the right thing to do. But if being humane is being compassionate we can see that humans are not humane. The compassionate thing to do is to make sure that no Rhino suffers ever again – what then would you do to end their suffering?

Day 201 - Why we take things Personally

I made vlogs expanding on this topic, but our Internet has been extremely slow so I have not been able to upload it yet. I will upload it as soon as our Internet allows or when SA finally invests in decent Internet speeds and solutions. Unfortunately the latter is highly unlikely, because most of the funding goes into the pockets of our government officials and pays for their mansion upgrades and goes towards increasing their vehicle stock while millions of SA citizens are in poverty struggling with daily life.

Enough with ranting for now and back to the topic at hand - Why do we take things personally?

This has been a tough point I had to work with, because i used to take a lot of things personally. It could be someone said something to me or they did something and I would react. A basic example was I remember when I was in school and my teacher was explaining physical differences between people and I do not remember why. She said that i have a big nose. Now this is a fact - proportionally my nose is a bit large for my face. She was simply stating fact and in no way meant anything by it, but I took it very personally and was angry. Now the question is why did I take this personally?

The reason for me taking it personally is that I had a judgement within myself about my large nose - I judged myself and did not like having a big nose. So within this I was the one who created the anger based on a judgement I had within myself. It had nothing to do with the teacher - I cannot blame her for the anger, because I created it. The reason i took it personally was because of a self judgement.

This can be applied to everything related to taking things personally. NO matter what is said to you or what anybody does, in the end you alone are responsible for yourself and your reactions. YOU are the one who take things personally - you yourself create that based on a judgement you have about yourself. In a way the other person is actually showing this to you so instead of getting angry at them - thank them for showing you and giving you a point to work on. Once you move pass the self judgement it will no longer have control over you. I eventually got over my nose being too big so when someone comments on my nose I do not take it personally. To recap - Taking things personally is a self judgement and something you alone created and you are the one who can stop it.

PS - this blog will have no cool picture in it, because it then takes longer to upload. Blame SA for this horrible inconvenience they caused. Thank you.

When Habits are all you are

habit I did vlog touching on this point and today I am going to explain it a bit more. I am letting go of being the “silent type” by speaking more and doing vlogs helped with that. When I took a break from the vlogs I noticed that I fell back into that pattern/habit of being a silent type. So what I realized is that all these characters we create within ourselves – the angry type, sad type, irritated, mean, spiteful – all these characters are actually habits.

These habits become part of who we are and we define ourselves by it. This is one of the reasons why change is so difficult, because you are stopping a habit. And it is very easy to fall back into the habit than to stop it. Thus far I have made progress – I do not mumble anymore and I make sure my words are clear although there are times when it is not clear.

This can applied to any self-change. You decide to stop the particular pattern/habit like getting angry easily or being very judgmental. There is resistance that comes up within you when you stop a habit and that is because you are busy changing yourself – you are stopping something that you have lived for a long time and made part of who you are. It takes time, but the important thing here is to not give in/give up. It is very easy to fall back in the habit/pattern , because that is how you have lived. To change it means living something new – something you have not yet lived. It is a self-directive decision to stop habits.

Chain-Breaking Now the question is of everything of who you are what is a habit/pattern and what is something you direct? Is everything you do a self-directive action or are you simply following a design? Why do we allow ourselves to be directed by habits/patterns? Would it not be a better way of living if all of who you are is self-directive? This is one of the things the Desteni Process is all about – it is ALL about YOU. YOU changing YOURSELF to be an effective living being. Join in and take part.

SimCity 2013 – a Broken Game

Many years ago I played this awesome game called SimCity 200. It is a game where get a massive square plot and you, the Mayor, build and manage a massive city. You need to supply your city with power, water and other necessities in order to have a functioning city full of satisfied people. It was a fun game. I recently started playing the new SimCity – SimCity 2013 also called SimCity 5 and here are my conclusions of this game.simcity

At first when I heard the news that there was going to be a new SimCity released I was excited. As far as City building games go Maxis always did a good job. I did not get the game when it was first released – mostly due to the DRM – must be always online to be able to play the game which is a new disappointing feature in the SimCity franchise. Also – there were massive problems with their servers when the game launched.

So, after several months and game patches later I decided to play the game. At first it was a good game, but then the more I played the more I noticed that the game is actually broken. Traffic makes the game unplayable – once your city grows big cars get stuck in traffic and the city falls apart, because the fire trucks can’t get to the burning buildings and the ambulances can’t get to injured Sims. People have been complaining about the traffic and the creators have released patches that did improve the traffic flow, but it is still not right. MAXIS released a blog called “State of SimCity” and had this to say about traffic:

“ Traffic was always meant to be a challenge; in fact, many of our team considered traffic to be a strategy game all on its own. But, in reality, traffic was behaving irrationally. We got the player feedback and fixed it.”

Traffic is not fixed. Another problem is trying to find a balance between available jobs and workers. I have tried to find a balance and have not succeeded. I have low wealth Sims leaving my city, because they can’t find work, at the same time I have low wealth work places complaining they need workers. It doesn’t make sense!

Great works also do not work that great. There are syncing issues with different city plots to the Great works were some city plots can’t see the great work. I have built the International Airport and it would say my city benefits with 600 high wealth tourist, but then I cannot find any high wealth tourists in my city even though it is primed for them. Many others have complained about this glitch.

SimCity-2013-01-25-13-41-38-67The main issue with SimCity 2013 is the small plot size you get to build your city – it is far too small and should at least be double the size. It is a constant struggle to find space to plop your buildings and almost always you have to sacrifice/bulldoze parts of you City in order to place necessary buildings. The fact is that the map sizes must be larger to make SimCity 2013 an enjoyable experience. MAXIS had this to say :

“City sizes have been a constant point of conversation among our players since we released the game. The game’s original design focused on the density of an intimate urban environment. It was about intercity connectivity and the challenge of managing a region of cities instead of one metropolis in isolation.”

Unfortunately traffic makes it impossible for cities to interconnect. You end up having a massive traffic jam on the highway before the cars even reach your city, because there is only one road coming into your city. They designed the game to be interconnected, but the game mechanics keeps it from working properly. The sad disappointed here is that MAXIS revealed the fact that:

“ I confirm that we will not be providing bigger city sizes…”

No Bigger city sizes for SimCity 2013 ever. Very sad indeed. They are releasing DLC “Cities of tomorrow” where you build futuristic Cities and has a new feature where you can expand upwards into the sky, but not outwards like we all want. To me that seems very sneaky of them, knowing full well we want more space to build and then release this DLC that we have to pay for.

simcity-2013-screenshot-17 I am sure there are many angry SimCity fans out there right now. I enjoyed SimCity 200, but the SimCity 2013 is ultimately a disappointment. The Game has so much potential to be excellent, but the game plays like an unfinished beta version. They released the game too soon with far too many glitches. Why? I do not know. Some say EA is to blame for pushing MAXIS to release the game early to make money, for profit. Whatever the reason – they gave us a broken, unfinished game that needed more time to get the glitches sorted. That is my conclusion of the game SimCity 2013.

WTF is Self-support part 2

IN my previous blog I wrote about Support and always looking for it from others which lead to the conclusion that if I constantly want others to support me then i do not support myself. So here follows steps for Self-support:

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to always look for support from other people – always outside of myself.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to always want to be supported by others before I can make a decision not realizing that this lead to me being indecisive and not able to direct myself in certain situations.selfhelp

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to depend on support from others to such a extend that I could not always stand on my own without support from others.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to within relationships want support to be the primary deciding factor whether or not I continue with a relationship and if I do not get support to move on.

I forgive myself that I have not accepted and allowed myself to realize that If I constantly look for support from others it is an indication that I do not support myself.

I forgive myself that I have not accepted and allowed myself to support myself and to believe that I can only obtain support from others outside myself and not from myself as Self-support.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to fear self-support, because it is easier to get others to support who I can always fall back to when mistakes are made, whereas with Self-support mistakes are on me.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that I am unable to support myself, because It is something I have not fully lived yet, instead of realizing that just because I have not done it before effectively yet does not mean I am unable to.

I commit myself to stop the belief that support can only be obtained from others/outside myself.

I commit myself to support myself – to live Self support

I commit myself to stop depending on others and to support myself with decisions

I commit myself to stop wanting/looking support only from others and to instead support myself first and when I face a point where I require assistance I ask for support.

WTF is Self support and Why is it Important?

Wiley-Coyote-Help Today I am starting a Mini-Series specifically about Self-support. This point has been a recurring point that came up a lot in my life and revealed in many ways. And as I go deeper into this point new dimensions open up and I discover many new layers in regards to self-support.

Now, I have written a few blogs on Self-support and every time there is something new that comes up and that is cool, because with every layer I learn something new about myself.

What I can see now is that I have lived my life wanting support from others. Be It from my family or friends – I wanted to be supported in all aspects of my life. I am sure many live like this – always looking for support, but unwilling support yourself.

If I look back to my relationships I had in the past with girlfriends the primary point I looked for was support – I wanted support. And when the relationship ended I would look for it elsewhere. I never once considered that the fact I was look for support from others was an indication that I was not supporting myself, and because I was not supporting myself it influenced every decision I ever made. I wrote a blog about indecision and the lack of self-support is directly related to it.

I could not make decisions without help/support from others. Without a clear confirmation I always struggled with making choices. It was easier to get others to help me with making choices, because then there is no uncertainty and always someone to fall back to when the choice was a mistake.

And so I lived like this my whole life – always looking for support from other people and never being the directive principle in my life. This not only lead to me struggling to make decisions, but also unable to stand on my own – lacking inner strength and feeling inadequate all the time.

Since working on this point I have definitely changed. I realized that I must be willing, able to support myself – I must be able to stand on my own and be the directive principle in my life. To make choices on my own and not be afraid of making mistakes, but to learn from my mistakes. This particular process I have walked for a long time – to actually, practically live Self-Support.

In my Next blog I will continue this.

Being Humane is being Evil

Definition of the word Humane: 1. Characterized by kindness, mercy, or compassion.

First thing to notice about the word is that it is the word human. When people want you to be kind they will often ask " Where is your humanity!". The thing is that human nature is absolute evil.

We humans are the definition of evil. All you have to do is turn on the news and see the Good_versus_Evil_by_curua-550x343horrible things we do to each other. Look at how we treat other species and nature. Look at how we are are destroying the earth beyond repair. Look at history - the wars - the holy crusade even, it all shows us clearly what and who we are as humans - it is all we have ever done. So to be humane is to be human is to be evil.

The definition for the word Humane is wrong - it is inaccurate. Before we can define it as being kind or compassionate we must prove that we as humans can be compassionate and kind towards others and ourselves, but at the moment we are not there.

We should instead change our very nature by letting go of our humanity  - which means to stop being human, to stop being evil and and stop abusing others and the earth. Now, there are some freaks of nature - and by that i mean some people who actually care about others and the earth and do what they are able to make the world a better place - they let go of their humanity.

So the key here is to stop being humane and instead to develop into an effective living being that considers all actions taken to insure that it is what is best for all. When we start changing our ways and actually care about nature and each other where we in fact change who we are as humans - maybe then the word humane can be defined as being kind and compassionate or even better: to do what is best for all.

Cant always get what you want - but if you try you'll get what you need...

There is a song tbasic-needs-web-gifhat goes "You can't always get what you want, but if you try real hard you'll get what you need". Nope, not true.

With 3 Billion in poverty and billions more struggling to make a living even if you try really hard you can't even get what you need. You need food, a home and water at least to be alive yet many do not have these basic human rights. So the sentence is misleading.

Poverty doesn't  exist because people are lazy - there simply are not enough jobs available to make a decent living. People work hard - even to death just to able to feed themselves or their family. There are horrific jobs people are forced into just to make money. It always comes down to money or rather the lack thereof.

There is definitely enough food, in fact there is enough food being produced today globally to feed 12 billion people. That is a lot of food,  then why are more than 1 billion starving with a  food surplus enough for an additional 5 billion people? Well, the people do not have money to buy the food and so the food gets thrown away.

What about water? Companies like coca-cola that mass produce "diabetes-in-a-can" and other drinks require large amount of water and to get the water they claim lakes and rivers and what-not fencing it of and making it illegal for anybody else to get to that water. You have countries where people live right next to a water treatment plant, but cannot drink the water because they cannot pay for it. So they suffer.

Having a Living Income  would end all of this suffering. If people had money to buy the things they need like food and water and housing you would have no starving, no thirsty or homeless people. And that is one of the   principles of the Living Income Guaranteed proposal -  to make sure everybody has their basic human rights and actually  get what they need.

What is True Self-Awareness?

What does it mean to really be aware? Awareness has become something of a spiritual thing meditation1 when looking at humanity today - like a sate you acquire after/during meditation and/or going through initiations/programs. It is often called ‘pure awareness’ where you have to surrender yourself and let it all go. This is a very limited definition of awareness, because it only takes into account the “individual internal experience”…my question is: what about the physical, what about reality, what about ‘life on earth’?

Let us take a closer look at why you become relaxed when meditating. When meditating the goal is to "silence the mind" and go into a state where you relax. To silence the mind is to stop thoughts and when you stop thoughts you become relaxed. This is because thoughts generate energy - for example, let’s say you think about your day at work you generate stress, or you think about a person who wronged you in some way and then you generate anger. Thoughts are what keep our bodies from being in a natural relaxed state. So when you meditate and stop those thoughts you become more relaxed.

Some people like listening to music while meditating that also helps them to relax. Here, the same thing happens - your focus is on the music and not thinking so you become more relaxed. Also, once you have silenced the mind you will notice that you are more ‘aware’, more aware of the body, of reality – but, only for that moment. You can feel the clothes on your skin and your feet on the ground. You are aware of your surroundings and actually hear sounds like birds and crickets - also your breath. If you cannot hear the birds sing then you are not aware - you are not here in the moment, because you are occupied with thoughts in your Mind. Thus, you are separate from the here, from reality, from the physical – from what is REAL, and are somewhere else in an alternate reality in the Mind. Meditation is stopping thoughts. The question here is why cant you be in a relaxed natural state all the time? Why do you need to first sit still and meditate to achieve this?

So, one of the keys to being here in the moment, aware of your surroundings, and naturally being relaxed - is to stop thoughts. You do not need to meditate to do this. You can be here in the moment at all times and not just when you meditate. Sure, if it works for you go ahead, but there is a way to always be aware and here in the moment in the physical, in/as this REAL WORLD. This is one of the things we do here at Desteni. Stopping thoughts and actually looking at the cause of the stress and anger and any emotion and feeling so that you are no longer directed and controlled  by it, but you become the directive principle in your life. This way you become self-aware and see all those thoughts, feelings and emotions that control your life and then direct it.

Desteni Is a Principle - Not one Person

resizedI have grown immensely ever since being part of the Desteni Process. There are many people part of this process and today I am going to give the spotlight on 2 people namely myself and Bernard.

I am sitting here looking for words to express how grateful I am for all the support I have received over the years from Desteni and Bernard, but no words really comes close. I have changed over the years – to go from a shy, silent type, with zero leadership skills to a person who works with people and has developed leadership and communication skills. This was something I thought I would never achieve in my life – being able to lead.

I have also developed a point of stability within myself. Before, I was so unsure of myself –always doubting myself and my abilities and mostly avoiding people. I had so much fear of the future and worried about it. The point of stability that I have is that I realized: no matter what comes my way – no matter what happens and no matter what I face – I am able to get past it, I am able to get through it. It may be difficult or something I have never faced before, but I trust myself that I am able to deal with it.

Now, you the reader may not fully grasp just how amazing this achievement is for someone like me, because you do not know who I was and how I was. I believed Self-trust was impossible for me, yet here I am. This is what Desteni is all about – YOURSELF! This is something that is greatly misunderstood by the cyberbullies and haters – I can attest to the fact that what they write are but opinions and beliefs based on …nothing substantial, because I write from over 8 years hands-on experience with walking and living the Desteni Tools as well as living with Bernard. I write from actual facts – with me as the living proof. I don’t know about you the reader, but I only go by facts.

The facts are these:

I have changed. I have developed a strength within myself that I never thought possible. And I did that myself. When you build something out of wood like a table you need tools, right? You will need a hammer and nails as tools to build this particular table. So once you are done building you say “I built this myself” – of course you could not have done this without the hammer and nails, you could not have built the table without the tools. This is what Desteni is – A tool to use to support and assist yourself to grow and build yourself. Who is Bernard within all of this? Here was a man that decided not to accept poverty, war, suffering , abuse and greed and all those fucked up things in this world as just something that is ‘acceptable’ / ‘the way life is supposed to be’ / ‘how humans have always been and will be’. See, we all simply say that suffering is a part of life – Bernard said it is unacceptable.

He lived his life investigating everything and kept what is good. He actually cared. Remember caring is not a feeling – caring is an action. He lived to find ways for all humans and animals to never suffer again. What he found as one of the problems is obviously humans – we cause the suffering of animals and to each other. So to change the world is to change the human and he started with himself. Then he shared what he found. He lived by a principle – to live according to what is best for all. People get confused when they read or hear “ best for all” – as if it is something alien and impossible. But it is simple – would you say that hurting another is what is best for all? No. Would you say that having water, housing and food is what is best for all? Yes

DSC_0201 Desteni is a group of people living by a principle – not by one person. Bernard is dead, but that does not change Desteni – Desteni is a group dedicating our lives to find ways to change this world into a place where suffering and abuse is non-existent. People say it is impossible, because that is very easy to say. They say it is unrealistic, because it is easy to say that – then they do not have to change who they are or do anything to MAKE it Possible. I have done the Impossible for myself with the TOOLS of Desteni. Impossible is the words I’m possible. Living by a principle of what is best for all is probably the most difficult thing you can face – that is why people turn to slander, because they are afraid to live like that. So – if you are dedicated and have guts and actually care about the billions that suffer as you read these words then join us. I am the living proof and fact of how effective the Desteni tools are.

It is not impossible to end suffering and abuse.

Join us

Yes

Desteni is a group of people living by a principle – not by one person.
