Life Hack: Righting yourself to Freedom

A Life hack is defined as any procedure or action that solves a problem, simplifies a task,392569_2974490174005_1817993293_n reduces frustration, etc, in one's everyday life. Today I’m going to share with you the best life hack I ever learned: How to Right yourself to life.
The word “write” and “right” sounds the same. In this context the word right is “to correct”. So how does one Correct yourself to freedom? To Life?
A few years ago I realized something about myself; I saw that I did not know who I was. I did not know the reasons why I acted the why I do, I did not understand why some things made me so angry and why some people just irritate the bejesus out of me. What I did know back then is that I was depressed and have been living with it for a long time. I also believed that I would live with it for the rest of my life, because I could not find a way to stop it. I basically accepted it as part of who I was.
That was until I found the tool that assisted and supported me to free myself out of the depression which was the Journey to Life. The Journey to life is an amazing tool that everybody can use for themselves in their daily life where you basically write down things that you would like to change about yourself or things you have realized that helped you in the past for others to read who might also be assisted with what you went through. And as you walk through these points of change you peel off the layers of yourself and create someone who you would like to be.
For me I did not want to live with the Depression I had, I was becoming so lifeless I feared the road I was on. Something had to change. So as I started writing the point of depression out and looked at the reasons why I was depressed I realized something that changed my life forever: That I created the depression. That I Alone actually made the choice to be depressed. Yes, losing your mother is a sad thing, but my actions and how I reacted towards this event was my choosing. There were many dimensions to this point, but that was the basic of it – I made the choice. There was no higher power that made me feel the way I did, because I alone am responsible for what I feel.
This helped me to move past the depression, because after writing it all out I could see what I did. And so I forgave myself for creating the depression within myself. Another important tool is Self-Forgiveness – which is Giving/gifting yourself the opportunity to let go and move on.
The above is an example of how through writing (righting) I took something about myself that I wanted to change and changed it to something supportive. As far as Life Hacks go – this is the best life hack I ever learnt. Start your Journey
